Image wise the game resembles PUBG quite a lot. Also noting the previously mentioned Nvidia Control Panel settings, I think only thing which works anti-aliasing wise is the FXAA because the game uses deferred rendering. Adjusting the settings it's possible to bring the effect out lot more of course. The attached screenshot is not too convincing but it's more pronounced in the game. I also use couple of other settings to get rid of the in my opinion too dark image. The hit seems to be around 10% on my GTX 1080. It's quite subtle effect but as a result the image is much cleaner than with the game's own technique. But MXAO didn't work with older version and I thought I could try the latest one. I personally use an older version of ReShade(3.0.X or 3.1.X) because I don't like the direction where it is going: lot more bloat and connecting to internet to check for a new version to remind you if you are not running the latest one etc.
To alleviate the ambient occlusion flicker, turn it off from the options and install the latest ReShade version and use MXAO. The greater window the engine has to render a given frame, if you're imposing a lower frame rate than the game can otherwise provide, may also help in alleviating stuttering related to data streaming. Note: Useful if your system can't maintain, say, 60fps and you're sensitive to the wild fluctuations, or you're experiencing uneven frame times.
Alternatively, those with an Nvidia GPU can either cap the frame rate at the driver level via the Nvidia Control Panel (requires the 441.87+ drivers) or use Nvidia Inspector to force a vsync internal lower than one-half (click the small tool icon to open the game profile section).
PS - Don't forget to register your product at the ZOTAC website for extended warranty.Cap the frame rate/potentially improve frame times: Download RivaTuner Statistics Server (if you use MSI Afterburner, then you already have it installed), input your desired framerate limit in the "Framerate limit" box, and hit Enter.
But as everyone says, always buy the best card you can afford when you buy, as the investment pays off. I really loved this card as it is a brilliant performer at this price point. So its perfect right now, but soon might over heat when the thermal paste dries out. On the NVIDIA website the card is said to withstand upto 85-95 degree celsius. The card Idles at 40 degree Celsius and runs the fan at 30%.Īfter 1.5 hours of playing FarCry 3 - BD on Ultra, the card reached 45-50 degree Celsius The card comes with the ZOTAC FireStorm OC utility, which can monitor temperature. HIGH - 50-60 FPS ( Very high is also similar) So I tried this card on Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon. I got 92 FPS on Intel HD graphics with AA 0x.īut those are just benchmarks and not real world results, you may say. I got 32 FPS on Intel HD graphics with AA 4x. I used NovaBench to benchmark my system before and after the card. It will run by taking electricity from the PCI-E slot.
I also recommend downloading the latest version drivers from NVIDIA instead of the drivers on the disc.įirst off, The card doesn't need a power connector. Some tips when you're installing the card are that -Ģ) Don't touch the Solders under the card.ģ) The card goes pretty deep into the PCI-E x16 slot so be sure to apply even pressure till it stops wiggling. There was no thumbscrew with it, So right now its supported by some zip-ties through the screw holes (I know what you're thinking :3 ) But the card seems to fit snug and is really sturdy. The card is very light and is very low profile. So they youtube videos doesn't really compare this card.
Even on the NVIDIA website there is no mention of the GB GDDR5 version, the only versions on the website were the 1,2 and 4 GB DDR3 version and the 1 GB GDDR5 version.
But this card has 2 GB GDDR5 Memory which is the best of the GT 730. I saw videos from LinusTechTips and Austin Evans about this card and they were roasting this card. If you're a fellow who researched about this card on Youtube or compared other cards with GPUBoss, you might be expecting very little. This Graphics card is a beast at this price.
